CHAMBER ANNOUNCES 2009 PRIDE OF PLACE AWARD RECIPIENTS TO BE PRESENTED AT ANNUAL BUSINESS AWARDS LUNCHEON ON JUNE 24 - (06/24/2009)
--The Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Commerce will hold its Annual Business Awards Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 24 at the Best Western Genetti Hotel and Convention Center in Downtown Wilkes-Barre.
      At this annual event, the Chamber honors people and organizations that make a difference in the Greater Wilkes-Barre community and make it a better place to live, work and learn. This year area businesses and professionals will be honored in the following categories: ATHENA Award, “I Believe” Award, and Pride of Place Awards.

Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Business and Industry Presents Final Payment to Irem Shrine - (05/04/2009)
--"With the help and support of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Business and Industry recently made the final payment to the Irem Shrine for the acquisition of the Irem Temple. --The Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Commerce will hold its Annual Legislative Breakfast on Friday, April 17 at 7:30 a.m. at the Best Western Genetti Hotel and Conference Center in Downtown Wilkes-Barre. This annual event provides an opportunity for area business representatives to discuss key issues with legislators.
